Repeat after me:
“There was no voter fraud.”
“There was no widespread voter fraud.”
“There is no proof of widespread voter fraud.”
“This was the most secure election in the history of the United States.”
We have all heard a lot of lies surrounding the 2020 election for the office of the President of the United States. The United Useful Idiots of America have chanted the above mantras, and in the order presented, since before November 2020.
Now, just hours from the planned inauguration of Joe Biden as the 46th president of the United States, CIA director Gina Haspel is resigning her post at the CIA.
How could this happen?
The news media has reported that Haspel threatened to resign if Trump appointed a loyalist as her deputy director. But why resign now?
Haspel does not admit to covering up Chinese interference in the election, but for Haspel, coverups are nothing new. In 2005, Haspel was involved in the destruction of recordings of interviews with suspected terrorists that she oversaw while they were waterboarded, stuffed into boxes and bounced off walls.
In spite of Ms. Haspel’s past running CIA black sites, Jon Ratcliffe, director of national intelligence, has leveled serious accusations against the intelligence community in a document dated January 7, 2021 (pdf).
Mr Ratcliffe makes the charge that the U.S. intelligence community not only knew that China was interfering in the 2020 U.S. election, but that the intelligence never surfaced because it would have furthered Trump’s charges that there absolutely was widespread election fraud and interference.
What do you do if you are the director of the CIA when the director of national intelligence releases a report stating that the intelligence community not only knew that China interfered in the 2020 election, but actively prevented the information from coming to light for political reasons?
Resign, and hope no one prosecutes you for treason.
